Background: Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and inspires young entrepreneurs by providing accessible step-by-step guides, hosting events and workshops, and promoting peer mentorship and development in a community setting. We are 100% volunteer-run and offer all our resources for free online.

Our team at Pitch Labs is working to make entrepreneurship accessible. We strive to redefine who can be an entrepreneur, highlighting that being an entrepreneur is not about having a specific degree but pursuing one's innate curiosity to learn and develop. We strive to rewrite the narrative of what a successful business and entrepreneur looks like, recognizing that struggles are simply steps to success. We strive to help students understand both the value of always being a mentor and mentee and the value of harnessing their creativity regardless of what career they pursue in the future.

What We Need: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach. As an Article Writer, you will be responsible for writing a minimum of two articles/month on topics within business and collaborating with editors to produce high-quality and informative articles.

*NOTE: Use of AI to write responses in your application will disqualify it from consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Publication on a certified website. Published articles on a digital platform.
• Recommendation from a mentor, institution, or a Pitch Labs employee.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with blogs and research papers.
• Portfolio of at least three written essays or articles.
• Proficient in professional English. Excellent written skills.

Duties:

• Write blog posts for Pitch Labs website.
• Pitch and research topics to write articles and curriculum papers.

Expectations:

• Weekly check ins.
• Weekly updates on article progress.
• Write at least 2 articles per month.

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION.

Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized and ready to engage. Please be prepared to contribute at least 5 hours a week for 3 to 6 months. As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment that you do not sign up to respect our other volunteers time. All volunteers must attend their department’s team meetings. We encourage a 24-hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines that team members are working on. We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc., as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.
