Background: Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and inspires young entrepreneurs by providing accessible step-by-step guides, hosting events and workshops, and promoting peer mentorship and development in a community setting. We are 100% volunteer-run and offer all our resources for free online.

Our team at Pitch Labs is working to make entrepreneurship accessible. We strive to redefine who can be an entrepreneur, highlighting that being an entrepreneur is not about having a specific degree but pursuing one's innate curiosity to learn and develop. We strive to rewrite the narrative of what a successful business and entrepreneur looks like, recognizing that struggles are simply steps to success. We strive to help students understand both the value of always being a mentor and mentee and the value of harnessing their creativity regardless of what career they pursue in the future.

What We Need: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach. As our Marketing Administrator/Content and Project Manager, you will help take the content creation capabilities to the next level and make sure that projects are being handled/delegated correctly using our PMS tool, Planka. The core focus is to be the 2nd-in-Command to our Marketing Director/CMO and also create engaging, impactful content that resonates with audiences and drives people to our website & resources.

Qualifications:

  • Based in the United States and speak/write professional, native level English
  • Consistently available for team meetings on a weekly basis & able to respond to messaging/emails within 24 hours
  • Proven background, interest, or experience in project management and/or marketing strategy, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Expertise in marketing, social media, graphic/web design, content creation & editing, with a keen eye for detail and a creative mindset.
  • Experience in being an executiveโ€™s liaison, managing a team and building positive, productive relationships (ideal).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Content Creation: Spearhead and review the development of compelling content across various platforms, with a strong focus on social/website assets and short-form content.
  • Creativity and a unique perspective will be essential in creating high-converting content that stands out.
  • Editing: Utilize your skills to polish visuals and produce provocative and engaging content.
  • Assisting Management: Processing and delegating requests from various departments, serving as a key liaison between the CMO and the other team members, ensuring content vision is realized and expectations are exceeded. Your excellent communication skills will foster strong relationships and promote ongoing collaboration.
  • Oversight: Oversee all aspects of production, from sourcing and overseeing management of our graphic designers to ensure the content aligns with brand goals. Your leadership will ensure a consistent and high-quality content output.
  • Efficiency & Innovation: Drive efforts to reduce inefficiencies and increase production speed without compromising on quality. Your innovative thinking and problem-solving skills will be key to optimizing our content creation process.

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage and make an impact.

Please be prepared to contribute at least 5-8 hours a week for at least the next 6 months. As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment, that you do not proceed with our application further. All volunteers must attend their departmentโ€™s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week. We enforce a 24 hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines that team members are working on.

We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.
