Background: Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and inspires young entrepreneurs by providing accessible step-by-step guides, hosting events and workshops, and promoting peer mentorship and development in a community setting. We are 100% volunteer-run and offer all our resources for free online.

Our team at Pitch Labs is working to make entrepreneurship accessible. We strive to redefine who can be an entrepreneur, highlighting that being an entrepreneur is not about having a specific degree but pursuing one's innate curiosity to learn and develop. We strive to rewrite the narrative of what a successful business and entrepreneur looks like, recognizing that struggles are simply steps to success. We strive to help students understand both the value of always being a mentor and mentee and the value of harnessing their creativity regardless of what career they pursue in the future.

About the job: Assist with hands-on support to the company's Founder and all upper management staff/department heads. Being a servant leader or leaders. A seasoned Collaborator that can drive/motivate innovation. Ultimately with a goal of becoming one of the Advisory Committee Board members and Chairperson of specific Department(s) or customization of title based on your relevant expertise/scope.

Ideally have/be:

Entrepreneurial empathy or founder experience, preferably been through failure and successful startups as a CEO
Interested in working with, enjoy sharing expertise, or have knowledge that would be beneficial for our type of nonprofit
Demonstrative leader of leaders and core understanding servant leadership
Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction and high expectations
Ability to command a room, public speaking and community development is important
Fits the culture of #BuildingEachOther, Entrepreneurial Inclination, and a heart for the younger generations looking to make their business a reality
Knowledge in what technologies to build with or upon

EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES:

Being part of the “brain trust” of the leadership team, charged with helping the brand succeed in every possible way.
Assisting upper management to motion towards focusing on the appropriate thing(s) within their Department through the feedback process & guiding strategies.
Holding weekly/bi-weekly 1.on.1s with Founder/Dept. Heads and assisting them as a “lead mentor”.
Once a month team meetings occasionally and 1:1s with relevant team members for Q&A session
Possibly assisting our efforts to raise capital/secure funding(grants), including by introductions to well-targeted investors in your network, industry advice, and other measures of success.

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Therefore, we are extremely flexible with time and just ask that you contribute what you can of a maximum of 3 hours a week. If you other work, or family events come up, you are more than able to take a break. Presence and expertise are what is needed; availability given based on need.
